Being a full time student does not only entail being more serious in terms of studying academically but it actually shows an opportunity for a student to develop different skills which will definitely be of help in the long run. One of which is being a charismatic leader.
There are a lot of activities a college student may engage into for him or her to become a charismatics leader. One of which is through engaging in extracurricular activities such as first, becoming a member of an organization. He or She can join different student organizations like program councils, program societies, clubs or even the supreme student council of their university. Before becoming a leader, a student must first become a dedicated member of the organization by actively participating with its activities and partaking the organizational goal by realizing it with the group. A member does not only realize their goal but actively joins the group in attaining it.

To enhance the perception of being charismatic, one has to engage in behavior that show charismatic characteristic therefore he or she need to realize what are charismatic characteristics, chances are if your precept one behavior to be charismatic others might as well. Certain behaviors that encourage charismatic characteristics can be seen when student try to communicate with other either through verbal or non-verbal communication, charismatic people will project a confident powerful presence, they will talk clearly in a voice that engage those they're talking to and they will avoid stuttering. They will talk directly to the person, keeping eye contact and confident body posture while trying to convey their message without using unnecessary phrases like "you know" "like" "yeah" because a charismatic person is sure of what they are talking about. Another behavior that a charismatic person might have is they got a clear vision or a goal, that challenge themselves but at the same time still achievable as he or she will found creative ways to achieve it. Others will believe in the vision of a charismatic person and tend to willing to help them achieve it.

As students, we must have charisma as a leader. Charismatic leadership theory is an extension of attribution theory and suggests that followers make attributions of heroic or extraordinary leadership abilities when they observe certain behaviors.
·         Five personal characteristics of charismatic leaders have been identified.
1.      Have a vision
2.      Are able to articulate that vision
3.      Are willing to take risks to achieve that vision
4.      Are sensitive to both environmental constraints and follower needs
5.      Exhibit behaviors that are out of the ordinary
·         An increasing amount of research shows impressive correlations between charismatic leadership and high performance and satisfaction among followers.
·         Most experts think that individuals can be trained to exhibit charismatic behaviors
·         Charismatic leadership may not always be needed to achieve high levels of employee performance. It may be most appropriate when an employee’s job has a lot of ideological content.

After becoming an active member, it is then important for a student to be given the opportunity to become the leader of their organization. And this is where being a charismatic leader takes place. The student should be an able to lead others based on personal charm magnetism to group members, inspiration and emotion.

First, He or She must maintain the quality of becoming a visionary who effectively leads the group to the right path that they perceive. Being able to give a sense of vision among members would then help inspire them to perform their tasks well. This also entails being able to inspire trust among members of their organization. We all know that trust is one of the most difficult qualities in a group which is built through time and certain circumstances that measures the ability of the leader and its members. The student leader must be capable of meeting and even exceeding the members’ expectations of him. Only then that the members will be an able to trust the leader and unity will develop among the group which will make them more effective.
Second, he or she must also be able to manage their impression well. A good leader is capable of building and maintaining their name in every situation that they encounter. Maintaining a good name and dignity among constituents and the people in the university will help build a good name not only for the leader but will also affect the reputation of the organization.
Third, a leader must also develop becoming an extrovert by becoming free-spirited, spontaneous, friendly and outgoing. They are also energetic in the sense that they serve as a role model among the group in showing enthusiasm in attaining their tasks and goals.
Lastly, the student leader must become action and output oriented since only then that the institution will be able to measure the leader’s effectivity through the groups outputs and accomplishments. He or She must be able to lead the group in attaining their tasks effectively.

After doing these activities that will help the student become a charismatic leader, he or she must be able to maintain it through different manners. In doing so, he or she can establish a good working relationship not only to members but also to new personalities among their institution. This will not only benefit the leader, but it will also help the group in establishing a good reputation. After which, the leader must also maintain his reputation as a good leader by keeping their group performance and exceeding it the best way possible. Lastly, the leader must be able to determine new leadership trends that would help him or her cope with different personalities among his or her constituents. This can be done through research or seminar workshops which focuses on effective student leadership. The following ways would be of utmost help in building potential but capable leaders of the country’s future workforce.
