Anies Baswedan : Pidato atau Menyindir ?
This morning I was holding my phone and suddenly there was notification about Anies Inauguration became the governor of DKI Jakarta:
Monday (10/16/2017) Anies inaugurated becoming governor of DKI Jakarta, He Told so many things about the history that Jakarta had , He mention the word of "PRIBUMI" in His speech which makes media in a mess for what He meant.
Anies said, Jakarta is the most experience city for collonialism Dutch in Indonesia.
Because,The collonialism happens in capital city.
"Yang lihat Belanda jarak dekat siapa? Jakarta. Coba kita di pelosok-pelosok itu, tahu ada Belanda, tapi lihat depan mata? Enggak. Yang lihat depan mata itu kita yang di kota Jakarta," said Anies.
Anies said, every corner of Jakarta keep a history side ,ever since Sunda Kelapa ,Jayakarta, Batavia until Jakarta which is the movement of human civilization.
My Comment About this incident : With so much thinking in my brain that i cannot think anymore
is this speech consider to be a racism ? yeah i think because Anies only mention the history of Jakarta not every major city in Indonesia . Perhaps this is limits to the sensation of the governor to attract the attention of the people, and also the president said this is just a speech not satire. But why should he use the word "PRIBUMI" for only the citizens of Jakarta? when Indonesia is not only jakarta, and that in view by the Dutch also not just Jakarta but other cities as well.
Good point but it woud be more appealing if you can add to your analysis one or two opposing views, by providing a short interview on both sides....
